The Back-UPS Pro 900 has standard Schuko sockets, so the till point's devices plug straight in without special cables. In a short power cut the till, card terminal and router stay on.

Till and internet stay up

Three sockets have battery backup and surge protection; the other two are surge-only, for example for a printer. Gigabit Ethernet surge protection also protects the network line to the router or card terminal.

Status at a glance

The LCD shows load, battery charge and voltage. Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) corrects dips without the battery, and over USB PowerChute shuts the computer down cleanly.

Power saving

The master outlet can switch peripherals off automatically when the main computer shuts down. The battery is user-replaceable (APCRBC123).
